PottiBagTM Created Out of Necessity
As an all around outdoor enthusiast, I've been accustomed to the nuances of not only using a portable camping/marine toilet, but also
the awkwardness of transporting and storing these porta potty's.
Let's face it there is nothing enjoyable about transporting that "little box of horrors" and often referred to as the "walk of shame" in and around the sailing/boating communities when having to remove a porta potty off your boat, down the dock, in order to dispose of its contents.
One day last year after a day of fishing with my eight year old son and as I began the cumbersome process of removing the portable marine toilet from the transom of my Boston Whaler I thought to myself that there must be a more convenient and dignified way of transporting these porta potty's.
I searched every sporting goods, recreational vehicle and marine supply stores not only in my area but online as well thinking someone must have a bag to fit one of these porta potty's in. It was suggested to me after my extensive search turned up empty that I just go have a bag specially made. I did just that and to my surprise I found this new accessory quite pleasing and useful. The reaction from other boaters and campers that I introduced this bag to in the weeks that followed was extremely supportive and in fact almost everyone asked if I would make one for them as well.
It then dawned on me that if I had to have one made for myself because nothing else existed before and now others were requesting the same, then I might as well manufacture, market and sell them.
That gave birth to www.pottibag.com and in less than a years time my company PottiBag International has sold these PottiBags to appreciative customers not only here in the USA but Canada, Australia and Europe!
PottiBag just came out of the blue... I wasn't looking to invent something... it was created out of necessity and for my own convenience!
